Dear Mr. Rix,
I have the pleasure of writing you to commend you in the
development and production of the new Seacurefill
fuel spillage prevention device.
As the Harbor Master of Halifax Harbor Marina for the City of
Daytona Beach Florida, I worked extensively with the
Department of Environmental Protection to safeguard the waters
and wildlife with the focus on boater education and
environmental awareness. I recall numerous incidences of fuel
spills caused by fuel tank vents overflowing fuel into the
pristine Florida waters resulting in emergency response
cleanup measures and costly fines to the vessel owners, levied
by the local DEP.
As an avid boater, I have witnessed and responded to the same
type of fuel spills and understand the impact the associated
fines have on the boaters involved. Your Seacurefill device
addresses a growing refueling problem associated with old and
new boaters alike. We are witnessing a dramatic increase in
the recreational boating population and unfortunately an
increase in fuel spillage from fuel tank vents. Seacurefill
addresses this fueling problem simply and easily- The design
is efficient the device is user friendly, the installation is
straightforward and not complicated and the net result is
beneficial to the boat owner/operator and environment.
I endorse the use of Seacurefill and look forward to the day
in the very near future when marine manufactures install the
unit in the production of both power and sail boats of all
sizes. I would personally like to assist your endeavors
wherever possible to help insure boater awareness of
Seacurefill, and the resulting improvement of our boating
water quality.
As a footnote, I found your website www.seacurefill.com
to be both informative and direct in its presentation of the
Seacurefill concept.
Best regards,
