Editor's note: We received the following letter
from Burke Schlott who equipped his Irwin 52 with two
Seacurefill units, one for each fuel tank. Pictures of
his
port fuel tank installation are at

Dear John,
I wanted to take this opportunity to tell you about my
experience with your Seacurefill units. I have an Irwin 52,
which has port and starboard fuel tanks. Fueling the boat was
always a two-person operation, one to operate the fuel nozzle
and the other to hold a can by the tank vent to prevent
spills. We always had problems with the fuel spitting back at
us out of the fill, even with the tanks almost empty. The air
just couldn’t escape fast enough.
We installed two of your Seacurefill units and I must tell
you that they work as advertised. No fuel out the vent and no
fuel out of the fill. It’s a pleasure to install something on
my boat that really works! Thank you.
Very truly yours,
Captain Burke Schlott
